I made this frog cake for one of the girl’s that works at my son’s nursery! I made it using a Madeira sponge recipe, the body and head I used 2 sizes of glass Pyrex dishes.
I sandwiched them together using butter icing, then to make the prominent features of the frog, i.e eyes and mouth I used lumps of marzipan but can used moulded bits of roll out icing. I then covered it in roll out icing and moulded the rest with roll out icing.
It took me 4 days to make because each section needed to dry out! To stick on the arms and legs, etc I used edible glue.
