This Hello Kitty Birthday Cake Idea was made for a friend’s daughter’s 8th birthday. Bake a cake in a round pan that can hold a 2 layer cake mix.
Blow up a copy of Hello Kitty and then if necessary make it even bigger using a ruler and pencil. Your paper stencil should be as wide as your cake.
Lay stencil over baked cake. Cut of excess. Reserved these extra pieces. I used some of the excess to make the tips of Kitty’s ears “gluing” them on with frosting.
Frost with your favorite frosting. Reserve a small portion and dye it pink for the bow. Use either candy pieces or frosting to make the eyes and nose. Twizzlers to make the whiskers.
Wa-la you have a very easy to make Hello Kitty cake saving yourself a fortune on what you would have payed for a store bought version, making the little girl in your house very happy.
