I made this Mickey Birthday Cake for my son’s 2nd birthday. He has been a Mickey mouse fan since even before his 1st birthday and I just knew I had to make him a Mickey cake. I live in a remote community and so I didn’t have access to the fancy cake toppers and such, so I bought a Mickey Mouse mega blocks set and designed my caked around that.
I used buttercream icing to frost the cake and I bought tubes of frosting for the bright Mickey colors in the trim. I dyed some coconut with green food coloring for the grass, and I used blue decorating gel for the lake.
This cake was a huge hit at my son’s Mickey birthday party. Nobody wanted me to cut it and everyone oooo’d and awwww’d over it for weeks!
Super cute cake, and love how creative you were!
Thanks so much for sharing! What a great cake!
this is such a wonderful cake with a lot of style and color for children and to not have the knowledge of preparing. You did a wonderful job. You will be remembered by your child for a long time for doing this for him or her.
where in the world did you find the figures for your cake
