Coolest Mystery Machine Birthday Cake

My son wanted a Scooby-Doo themed party for his 4th birthday, so I decided to try my hand at making a Mystery Machine Birthday Cake with marshmallow fondant. He wanted vanilla and strawberry cake, so I baked two cakes in bread loaf pans. The bottom cake was butter pound cake and the top layer was the same cake, only I added strawberry jello and diced strawberries to flavor it.

I stacked the two cakes on top of each other and covered with butter cream. I took marshmallow fondant, which I had mixed up the week before, and dyed some of it blue. I rolled it out and covered the cake. Then I rolled out green fondant and cut it into the shapes for the decorations. Made orange flowers, used plain white for the windows and used black for the trim and the door knobs and headlights. For the wheels, I took butter cookies, covered them in butter cream and covered them in black fondant.

It came out well and was really pretty when it was cut in half because of the strawberry and butter layers.
