I made this pig cake for a manager of the bank where I worked who was retiring, and as she kept pigs we wanted something appropriate for her hobby. I had a week’s notice when asked to do this cake!
I drew this out first and made it with 2 pudding basins (one smaller than the the other) and then covered in pink fondant. Put the small basin shape for the head and large for the body and cut a flat bit off the back and top of the small one so the head was flatter and used some for the nose.
The feet and tail were made out of small bits of fondant and the ears, legs and tail were rolled out with same fondant. The eyes were balls made with black fondant and the collar from brown.
This was easier than I thought to make and cover.
