Coolest Rain Forest Baby Shower Cake

I got a message from a mother who was giving her daughter a Baby Shower.  She said they decorated the baby’s room like a Rain Forest.  So she asked if I could do something like that. I told her I’d do my best, so first thing I did was see what was in a rain forest. After that I made all the animals out of Michelle’s Fondant Recipe, took a few days for them to dry so I could finish them.

Then I made a heart shape lily pad for the fondant baby I made. Then the day before I was to have it done, I made the cake which was a 1/4 sheet yellow cake and a 6 inch round chocolate cake. Both had vanilla icing. After I baked them and made the icing, I let them set up in the fridge for about 5 hours.  Then I mixed the colors I needed for the butter cream  and put it together. I then added piping jell flavored with butter rum flavor mixed  with white icing  to make the stream.

I then iced the cake and put it all together. Oh yea, my husband wanted to make the palm trees,  so he got pretzel sticks for the tree and made fondant leaves  but couldn’t get them to stay on the pretzel so he made coconuts but put them on top. I told him they should go underneath but he said that’s the only way he could get the leaves to stay. LOL.

The lady came to get the cake and she loved it and her daughter and son-law also.  Later the next day her daughter messaged me and said she and everyone else loved the cake.  And she was saving the fondant figures and baby for her daughter when she grew up to have.  And then she said  someone noticed the baby was heading down stream towards the alligator and he was gonna eat her. I told her no it was a pet alligator. She laughed and said thank you.
