My son is crazy over Thomas and so he asked for a Thomas the train cake for his birthday.
This cake is made of loaf pans. Two for the troublesome trucks in the back and two for the engine. The engine is one loaf pan on the bottom and one cut up using an electric knife and placed with skewers to hold it together.
I printed a face off the computer and “laminated” it with tape so the icing wouldn’t seep through. You can fill the back trains with any candy or cookies you have and off course the tires are made of Oreo cookies.
Add a little man on the side and a railway sign for embellishment and you are set to go. I also placed some old railway pieces from a old train set under the engine for detail.
