Cool Homemade 2-Tier Little Mermaid Cake

To create this Little Mermaid cake, I started by making two Madeira cakes which I the sliced when cold. I filled the cakes with a buttercream and jam filling, followed by a coat of buttercream  on the outside. I then left the cake to chill.

I let the cake sit for about a week before beginning of process of making decorations.

I airbrushed the whole cake in blue and when it was dry I started to decorate. I made star fish and fish and other decorations about a week before and added them to the cake after airbrushing it.

I made a “sea” by making a tube with a mix of piping gel with blue colour.

The cake was fun to make and I was pleased with the results.
