I made this Cookie Monster cake for my son's second birthday party. It was my very first attempt at decorating! I didn't want to spend the money on a pan (and couldn't find cookie monster anyway) so I just baked a sheet cake and iced it white then traced an outline of cookie monster on it. I used Wilton food coloring.
First I iced the mouth smooth with black and then I used the hair/grass tip from Wilton and started the fur. I just made it up as I went along. Made the eyes with balls of frosting and piped in the black pupil. For the cookies I made cookie bars and used the letters and the number two cookie cutters and cut them out and placed them on the cake. This cake was a big hit!
