Easy Homemade Pink and Purple Barbie Birthday Cake

I made this Homemade Barbie Birthday Cake for my daughter’s seventh birthday party. The cake itself was a white chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream, colored with Wilton Icing Dye that did not dilute the frosting.

The cake consisted of three 9″ rounds, stacked on top of each other, with strawberry buttercream spread between the layers. The top round layer was baked in a large, glass oven-safe bowl.

Finally, I used a big knife to cut a small circle, between all the layers, in which to insert the Barbie.

After inserting the Barbie, I used the remaining buttercream to decorate her.
