Coolest Monster High Princess Birthday Cake

I’m not a professional but I love to get creative with cake decorating. I really wanted to try my hand at a princess cake. My niece Cayla turned 11 this year and Cayla loves the Monster High series so I decided to use Draculaura as my feature.

I used some basic instructions to make the cake from a glass bowl, I found the video on YouTube by Betty Crocker. I used fondant to make her dress and corset-style dress top. The rest is pretty simple. Chocolate cake for the dress, dyed black with food coloring, white frosting under the fondant dyed black as well. Monster High girls can’t seem to wear any dresses below their knees (grr) but I still love the way they look.

Since this is the case I had to get creative with the look of her dress, having a flowing look to it. My nieces and I are into Rock n’ Roll and monster movies so we both love the doll series.

I really enjoyed making this Homemade Monster High Princess Birthday Cake! I have made two of these girls for two of my nieces.
