Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

This chocolate chip cookie cake was made for a dear friend’s 30th birthday.  Her favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies.

I used a 12″ round and split it once to fill with chocolate ganache.  Then, I just rounded the edges, slapped a couple coats of buttercream on, and covered with fondant.  After that, I added the giant chocolate chips which were also fondant, and airbrushed the whole cookie with a warm brown color.

Everyone loved the chocolate chip cookie cake, and some thought it was a real giant cookie :)
