I made this for a baby shower. Her theme was pink and purple butterflies. I made 2 different round cakes (10 inch and 12inch pans) and use fondant butterfly and flower cookie cutters to cut out colored fondant. I don’t like covering the whole cakes w. fondant since it doesn’t taste that good so I used buttercream frosting (michael’s arts/crafts recipe). I used fondant letter molds to spell out the name of the new baby on each layer. I then used left over fondant to make borders including colored balls and small cut out borders.
