This Converse Shoe Cake Design was made for my daughter’s 13th birthday. She loves converse, so decided to make her this cake for her Punk Rock Birthday Theme.
I used 2-13×9 cakes stacked on top of each other, with buttercream frosting. For the fondant, I made a marshmallow fondant, which is marshmallows and 1 tablespoon of water microwaved in 30 second increments up to 2 1/2 minutes, then kneaded with powder sugar until desired consistency, and set in refrigerator for at least 12-24 hours, so prepare in advance.
