For this Hello Kitty Birthday Cake Idea I made a 10″ and a 7″ round sponge and placed onto a 16 inch board. I covered each cake separately and put dowels in the bottom cake to hold the top tier. I modeled the figure from fondant to which I added tylo powder (available from cake sugarcraft shops) to give extra strength to the figure. I inserted a wooden dowel through the figure and then inserted it into the top tier.
The flowers were cut from fondant with flower cutters again available from sugarcraft suppliers.
