I made this Scuba Cake for a 50th birthday for my husband. He and I have been scuba divers since 2008. I then just learned to make and use fondant and had so much fun creating the cake.
The recipe for the fondant was so simple. I greased a glass bowl with Crisco and put a bag of marshmallows in it with a teaspoon of water. Place the bowl in microwave for 45sec. until marshmallows melt and add 3/4 of a 1lb of confectionery sugar, you then knead it like you would homemade bread.
You can add flavoring to the melted marshmallows and color to the fondant once the sugar has been added. Enjoy!
