Coolest Tinkerbell Birthday Cake Idea

I made this Tinkerbell Birthday Cake Idea for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party. I made 2 strawberry sheet cakes that I swirled with vanilla cake, which I dyed purple. So when we cut the cake it was pink & purple swirls. I layered the two sheet cakes with homemade chocolate ganache filling and carved out hills for the waterfall.

To decorate, I used Wilton colors and regular icing. The tree stump is two vanilla cupcakes with chocolate ganache filling, carved to look like a stump and covered in chocolate frosting. I then swirled some color on top of the stump to make it look like rings. The rocks at the top are cupcake pieces covered in regular icing that I dyed a grayish color.

The waterfall is Wilton blue sparkle gel that I swirled with the white icing base to give it a moving water look. The mushrooms are meringue. I found the recipe online. After I baked the mushroom pieces & let them cool, I held them together with melted chocolate. I also decorated the cake with mini fairies that I purchased at Target.

Everyone loved this cake at my daughter’s party, especially my 2 year old!
