Easy Homemade Sprinkle Barbie Birthday Cake

First, I wrapped Barbie in plastic before I made the Barbie Birthday Cake . I baked 2 QT Pyrex bowls, grease well! I used 2 boxes white cake mix. One 8 ” round I used chocolate (you’ll have leftover batter for cupcakes).

Bake the cakes at least the night before as the Pyrex takes FOREVER to cool. I cut the Pyrex and added a layer of buttercream and used buttercream for the 8 ” layer, to make the doll stable and for crumb coat.

A star tip made the doll’s bodice and the piping on the bottom. Kids helped with the rest by frosting her and adding hearts and sugar sprinkles.

The hat is scrapbook paper with ribbons. We had the small wand but it took a while to figure out how to get her to hold it.

This website gave me the confidence to make this cake but I was surprised with how forgiving this cake is to make.

Best of luck with your own!
