Homemade Fireman Sam and Jupiter Cake
I found an image online of a Fireman Sam and Jupiter Cake and used ideas to copy from. It's always best to copy from a perfect cake then you get the best results! I made a large square Madeira cake then cut up the pieces to resemble the fire engine shape, then layered them together with a basic buttter cream and jam filling.
I iced it twice to give a smoother finish then used ready to roll icing and coloured it with concentrated food colours to make the cherry picker and other parts. Fireman Sam is made out of a special modelling icing from my local cake store he was quite tricky to make and was quite round so had to squash him and cut the back off, he wasn't perfect but my four year old loved this cake. He adores Fireman Sam!
It took a long time to make but worth it to see his face on the day!
