Homemade Snow Skiing Cake Ever
I made this Homemade Snow Skiing Cake Ever for my granddaughter's 9th birthday. She is so excited to go skiing this year. She loved the cake except she didn't like the fact the she was depicted as 'stuck' in a snow drift!!! LOL
The snowmen, trees and big snow ball are all made out of rice crispie treats then covered in fondant. The larger cake is a 6” cake and the smaller cake is 4”. I had originally planned to stack the cakes and make it a Topsy Turvey style but the sides of my 4” cake weren’t straight up & down so that plan didn’t work out too well.
It was a good thing that it was a skiing cake so it wasn’t a problem for the cakes to be cut on a slant. It was a mess – it is a good thing fondant can cover things up and make them look good. Lol
But in the end I really liked the way the cake turned out.
