Cool Homemade Hamburger and Fries Cake on a McDonald’s Tray

I made this Hamburger and Fries Cake out of inspiration from looking at others on this website! I made this one for my dad’s birthday. He’s a diabetic and can’t have sugar so the only sugar on this cake is the fondant, which is peeled off anyways.

At first I decided to try making a diabetic cake from scratch, if you’re considering this DON’T!! It turned out to be a huge waste of money and time! After two failed attempts I broke down and bought sugar free cake mixes from my local grocery store. I would’ve loved to do the “patty” with a brownie instead of a chocolate cake but couldn’t find any sugar free mix.

I’ve read on this site that some people had a hard time getting the color of the cheese. I would suggest buying Wilton’s concentrated food colorings. They have orange color but I just mixed yellow and a hint of red. Came out perfect the first time! The tray you see it sitting on is an actual MC Donald’s tray! I simply called them up, explained what I was doing and they had no problem letting me borrow it!!
