I made this Minnie Mouse cake for my daughter’s 7th birthday. About 5 days in advance, I made the black gum paste ears so they would be dry in time. The bottom tier is two 10″ yellow cakes, and the top is two 6″ strawberry cakes. The yellow cakes were layered with white butter cream filling and the strawberry ones with strawberry butter cream.
Both were covered in homemade fondant, tinted pink. I then cut out white fondant circles and placed them all over the cakes. I made one white fondant bow and 2 black ones. The border is butter cream icing tinted black, using tip #32. For her name, I used white icing with tip #3.
