This coolest Minnie Mouse dream cake was the tallest cake I have made. I rolled the fondant out a few times before I got it right. The ears kept flopping back but I put dowels through the hole of the bow and rested them onto the bow and it worked out.
Everyone loved the cake. I was going to make a fake tier because we didn’t need that much cake but I couldn’t bring myself to do that. This cake was special to me because I made it for my beautiful niece. The smile she had when she saw the cake was so cute. I told her not to look until I put the bow and ears on it and she left and was peeking from the other side of the room. It took me from 11 am-midnight to tort, fill, ice, cover in fondant stack and decorate this cake with breaks in between. Next time I will do the ears a bit thinner and also more than 3 days in advance that’s for sure.
