I made this Ocean Birthday Cake Design for my boss’s grandson. The Octopus is made out of an orange dolly Madison “snow ball” and the tentacles are just the marshmallow flattened and shaped. The coral is grape stems covered in royal icing. The seahorse, fish and vertical coral are royal icing too.
The anemones are colored stiff meringue with blue licorice and pink sour straws. The sea cucumbers under the coral are also meringue. The ocean floor is milk chocolate rocks.
