Coolest Pirate Birthday Cake

I layered two ten inch round cakes for the bottom tier and two six inch round cakes for the top of this Pirate Birthday Cake. I covered the two tiers with white fondant and then made red and brown fondant for the balls around the top and bottom tiers and cut out strips and laid them across and around the bottom tier.

I then piped the decoration on the top tier and made the scroll and allowed to dry to put the birthday banner on the top. Then drew a template to use for the skull and crossbones on top of the cake.

  1. Amazing cake!! We are having my son’s bday this coming weekend and I am looking for ideas for his cake. It is also a pirate theme. I don’t have the time to make my own but this was a great idea starter! Thanks and GREAT JOB!

I am making a pirate-themed cake for my son’s b-day and was wondering if you got the skull template online? If so, would you mind sharing?
    Thanks!
