I am a teddy bear artist and when I saw this lovely Polar Bear Birthday Cake made by Daniella T. I naturally had to make one for my son’s 7th birthday.

I baked 2 layers of vanilla cake and put them on top of each other with a butter icing. I left the cake in the freezer for a day, sculpted the polar bear head and then covered it with a butter frosting (icing) and freezed it again. The day before the birthday I rolled the sugar dough and covered the cake.

The nose, eyes & nails were cut from liquorice. It was the first time that I have covered a cake with sugar dough and I loved it!
