Coolest Retro Mario 3 Cake

This homemade Retro Mario 3 cake was fairly easy. The actual Mario was made from color flow that was traced onto wax paper and transferred. The “mushrooms” are decorated cupcakes. The “Koopa Troopas” are Hershey kisses with marshmallow feet. The stars & prize boxes are decorated fondant. The bottom border is white buttercreme icing done with tip#22 the top border is red buttercreme icing done with a #5 tip. I loved the Mario brothers as a child so I was extremely excited to take on such a project.
