This is a swan cake I made after reading your useful tips on the other swan cakes you featured on your web site. I used chicken wire too for the neck. The whole cake took me 10 hours in total.
I made the body from sponge cake using a round tin, I cut a section out of the middle to made it oval and then using spare sponge added on the tail.
As it was a kid’s birthday, I added a heart with her age and name on it and tied it around the swans neck and put some foil covered chocolate eggs tucked just under the wings. The birthday girl loved it!
