Homemade Anniversary Cake

This was my 1st time doing a drape but i loved the outcome! I used a 8″ and 6″ pan. I used Duffs dark chocolate fondant and food coloring for the drape. The gold ribbon and flowers arent edible. The rings are fondant. I crumbcoated the 2 cakes. I rolled the fondant out and covered my 2 cakes w/ the chocolate fondant. When stacking the cakes, i put a little royal icing on the bottom tier so that the top tier would stick to it. I then wrapped the gold ribbon around the cakes and sealed them at the ends with royal icing. After that, I rolled out the fondant for the drapes. I layed out 3 thick drinking straws, spaced them apart a little and layed the fondant over them. I made sure to let the fondant take the shape of the straws and then i tapped the straws from underneathe the fondant and then grabbed both ends of the fondant and formed a drape. I finished the cakes off with the flowers and the rings!
