Coolest Bananas in Pajamas Cake

Bananas in PJs are a very popular children’s cartoon in Australia featuring B1 and B2. My daughter loved this cartoon at 2 years of age so I made her a B2 cake.

Make two cakes in a 23cm square tin and then cut out the banana shape. Save the off cuts to cut out two three fingered hands. Then I simply iced the cake in butter icing piping on blue pajama stripes.

The hands are iced after the pajamas have been iced on and then placed on top of the cake. The mouth and eyes were cut out of licorice and the collar and feet are marshmallows.

The gift box is a biscuit which I buttered and placed in 100s and 1000s. The tip of the banana head is a chocolate licorice stick.
