For my dad’s 72nd birthday, I knew that I wanted to create something fun. Everyone knows that my dad absolutely loves those gross little banana flavored circus peanuts and also rich chocolate cake. Put those two favorites together and here is what you get, a Circus Peanut Candy Shaped Cake!
The inside of the cake is a Mississippi mud cake (recipe from Planet Cakes in California). I then free handed the rest. This was the second cake that I have ever made.
Inside is 6 1″ layers of Mississippi mud cake piled high, held together by dark chocolate ganache. Topped with dyed fondant. If you would like to see the pictures of each step feel free to email me and I’d be happy to share.
