This dream car cake was a cake I made for a boys 16th birthday. His parents told me that all he wanted for his birthday was a BMW and since there was no way he was getting a real car they wanted to give him a cake that looked just like his dream car.
I started out by carving the cake out so it would look like the outline of the car. I then covered a few places with black fondant, those places would be the windows, after that I covered the whole cake with white fondant. After the fondant had hardened I cut out the windows so they would look like real windows. Then I made sure I put all the little details on it so it would look just like the real car. He loved the cake, enough though he couldn’t take it out for a spin around the block.
