For our son’s first birthday, I wanted to make him a Homemade Monkey Birthday Cake that he could have all to himself. It actually turned out to be really easy.
I made yellow cake with in 2 8″ round pans. One was the face and then I cut the ears out of the other one. Then I used one of his stuffed monkeys to help me with drawing the outline. I frosted with a vanilla butter cream, and then piped chocolate for the ears and fur. He loved it!
