I made this Homemade Spongebob Birthday Cake for my granddaughter’s 3rd birthday. I used ideas from other cakes for decorating. I purchased a large Wilton cake pan. It called for 2 cake mixes (yellow). I also purchased ready made frostings and tinted yellow for the body and bought milk chocolate for the pants.
I used 2 sugar cookies frosted for the eyes. Marshmallows for the legs and teeth and black licorice for the belt and eyelashes. I used Twinkies for the shoes, pushing toothpicks through shoes and marshmallow legs to hold in place, and borrowed Mister Potato heads arms.
