I used the tear drop shaped Wilton pans, all sizes for this hot chili pepper cake. It was a vanilla bean cake with vanilla bean buttercream. I carved the top edge to smooth it out to look more like a pepper shape. Crumb coated the whole cake and layed out a thin layer of red fondant over top. The weight of the fondant sagged making me a tad upset but as it wrinkled, I liked it more! I spray tinted shadows so the wrinkles, showed up more. I added the green cap on the end with a stem in green fondant.
