Cool Homemade Ladybug 1st Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my daughter Lily. Her nickname is Lilybug so I thought a homemade ladybug 1st birthday cake would be nice. I used a white box cake mix and I also added a cake extender recipe to the box cake mix. That way I got more from the mix and didn’t have to use 2 box cakes.

I found a glass bowl that was round and that is how I made my ladybug. I used a 9X13 cake pan to make my cake. I made flowers to form my daughter’s name and age then filled in the grass with the Wilton 233 tip. On the ladybug I just made the face with a star tip and decorate the rest of it with a star tip.

After I put the ladybug on the cake I again took my grass tip and filled in under the ladybug the best I could to look like grass. That way all of the part that I couldn’t get to was hidden.
