Coolest Little Einsteins Rocket Cake

For my son’s 3rd birthday cake, he wanted Rocket from the Little Einsteins. I used 2 cake mixes to make 3 different cake shapes: one 9×13, one 8″ round cake, and the rest of the batter went into a glass batter-bowl for the dome-shape of rocket.

I frosted the 9×13 cake in green to resemble grass, using a fork to make the frosting look more like grass. I stacked the 8″ round cake at one end so there would be room for the writing on top. The domed cake went on top of the 9″ round cake. Rocket’s “engines” were Twinkies, attached with toothpicks and lots of frosting and the vertical tail-fins were graham crackers cut into triangles and frosted red.

I decorated the Rocket using a medium star-tip in red and white. Rocket’s antennae and headlights were dum-dum suckers. Everybody LOVED this homemade Little Einsteins rocket cake, especially my son. It was a huge hit!
