Coolest Monkey Birthday Cake

My daughter wanted a monkey birthday cake to go with her birthday party theme. We decided to do the monkey head only with luau flower on the monkey’s head. Background was a lime green with hot pink edging. I just looked at some monkey pictures and drew up a design based on her idea.

She wanted a monkey that somewhat looked like Bobby Jack, but a little more like the beach monkey. I edged monkey in black and then filled in with dark brown and light brown. Black eyes, mouth, and nose. We added purple and yellow flowers. On the lettering, I put flower tips on the ends of the letters. This is a half sheet cake. I bake a quarter sheet yellow cake and a quarter sheet chocolate cake and put side by side and then ice. She loved the cake.

This is her 9th birthday cake that I have done. It is now a family tradition.
