I had ABSOLUTELY no idea how I was going to do this Star Wars Light Saber Birthday Cake. But my son LOVES “Star Wars” and really, really wanted a light saber cake.
So, after a couple of months of thinking about it and discussing it with some friends, I decided that if I couldn’t find a light saber cake tin, the only other way to do it was to use a jam roll recipe for the cake.
The icing was just a plain butter icing, I only used two colours, Black and Royal Blue. After I finished using the light grey, I used the left over grey icing and put in more black colouring, that made the darker grey. M&M’s for the buttons, bit of liquorish around the bottom and then it was finished.
Looked pretty cool and my son LOVED it!! And it tasted lovely!
