Coolest Tinkerbell Cake

I made this Tinkerbell Cake for my daughter’s fourth birthday. I used the Wilton’s dress pan for the Tinkerbell dress, however the doll was too tall so I created a square “platform” for her to stand on which also offered the additional length and support needed. The doll’s legs and torso are covered in plastic wrap prior to inserting her into the cake.

I used one yellow box cake and one white since my daughter couldn’t decide which one she liked the most. I purchased Brill butter cream frosting from a bakery, it’s premixed and ready to use, tastes great, spreads easily and holds up well. I colored some of the frosting using Wilton’s gel coloring and piped it through a bag with star tip. The flowers are made from mini M&Ms and yellow tinted frosting. The pink and green beads are sprinkles. The miniature decorations were purchased and attached to cake with frosting.

I made a separate cake for the candle and extra figurines since I had some extra cake mix and also so I didn’t have to cram them onto the big cake.

Everyone really enjoyed the cake and I got so many compliments. My daughter was thrilled with it and the best part was that she got to keep the toys afterward.
