This was my first time using gum paste (for the flowers) which actually was so easy, my 3 and 5 year old actually made some of the flowers.
For this homemade unicorn birthday cake I cut the shape from an 11 x 15 pan and used marshmallow fondant. The horn is dusted with gold dust and is made of fondant also. The flowers are gum paste attached with royal icing.
