This Zebra Cake was my son’s Naming day cake. We bought a Shining Stars toy for his present so I decided to put a image of the Zebra on the cake.
The cake was a plain vanilla cake from a couple of packet mix cakes. Once the cake was cooked and cooled I iced the cake in the colour I decided I want to do it in.
I then just cut out the shape of the Zebra (as I cannot draw very well without tracing the image) and the traced the basic outline onto the cake. The detail of the image was piped onto the cake using the star nozzle. I did the writing the same way. I just used normal foil to cover the cake board.
