My husband's favorite band is Avengened Sevenfold..so of course I had to make him a Homemade Avenged Sevenfold Cake to represent! The top layer is a cookie and cream cake, the bottom is a beautiful white cake, both layered and wrapped in a light buttercream, and covered in a basic fondant. The fondant, I added a dab of black color, and worked it in until it had a marble look to it. I found the skull at the party store, and added black fondant wings, along with the black fondant band logo. The bottom is surrounded by chocolate covered "rocks" that I found at Michael's.
This Nick Jonas Birthday Cake was made for a friend of mine's niece who loves Nick Jonas. I bought sticker music notes in the photo album isle of Target. The wooded notes came from a craft store. The small picture frames came from the party isle in Target. The picture in the middle of the cake was printed and then laminated.
This is a chocolate cake mix with butter cream icing. The icing was dyed with Wilton's food coloring. The candy hearts around the picture can be found at any craft store or at Walmart down the specialty cake isle.
This Homemade Pink Floyd The Wall Cake is the first cake I have designed. My girlfriend does a lot of cakes, I thought it was my turn to take a stab at it. I made it for my friend Greg's birthday,
It is a chocolate cake with red whipped cream and gummy worms in the middle and the worms ate into his brain. I made the face out of modeling chocolate. I think everything turned out very well for my first attempt, there are a few things I would do different, but for the most part everything worked out well.
This homemade Rolling Stones cake is chocolate with raspberry-vanilla filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. I hand made a stencil for the details and hand finished the outer edges. It was a small cake (that's a 10" cake board) which made it a pretty nice, mellow project. Spent lots of time smoothing the buttercream.
