Ben 10 Cake

I made this Ben 10 cake for my nephew's birthday as he is mad on Ben 10. I used a rectangular cake tin to make the sponge which had a buttercream filling and then I covered it with green sugarpaste icing which I purchased from my local cake shop.

I found a picture of Ben 10 on the internet and traced the picture onto paper and then I made separate templates of Ben 10. Even his ears and eyebrows were cut out separately. I cut all the templates on the sugarpaste and then I placed them all together on the cake to form the Ben 10 picture. To finish the cake off I piped royal icing shells around the bottom of the cake.

That is the coolest cake ever!! My son wants one for his 10th birthday. I wish I knew you personally so you could make one for me. Do you have any ideas of where I could go to get one done for me like that.

That is amazing. It must have taken you hours to do a cake like that. My son loves Ben 10 and he would go crazy for a cake like this for his birthday, which, incidentally is 4 days away. I don't think I could even come close to what you did. He will probably have to settle for just a basic round cake that says happy birthday. Maybe next year when I am a little more prepared.
