Coolest Elysias Epic Castle Cake

This Elysias Epic Castle Cake was inspired by several images found on Google. The body of the cake is made from two cakes and the towers are made from chocolate logs with waffle cones on top.

The only part of this cake that isn’t edible are the toothpicks on the fairies wands. All the creatures and decorations are made from fondant! The vines on the outside are made from rolled up fondant with flowers squeezed from a piping tube. Everything is layered in colored fondant to hold it all together.

This cake took two of us 10 hours to build, however it was our first ever attempt at making a kids cake, and I had never worked with fondant before, fondant is a lot of fun to play with and I had such a blast building the pond and fairies and all the little toadstools around the garden.

The hardest part was balancing the towers and rolling them in fondant, I would advise you to freeze the logs before hand. I put each of the pillars in the freezer after decorating them and added them to the castle at the end.
