Homemade Formula 1 Car Birthday Cake
I made this Formula 1 Car Birthday Cake from Debbie Browns Easy Party Cakes. I followed all the instructions. Use a 10inch square cake tin. Trim off the crusts. I then cut the square cake in half to make the side bits, and the back bit. I then cut the front bit to shape. I used a plain Madeira cake. On the top I used buttercream icing to smooth it out.
Fondant was rolled out and then the other bits were added on. The tires I bought black fondant icing, I find when I make it it comes out grey and to make the tires nice and shiny I put on some vegetable shortening to make the tires look real (so to speak).
Please feel free to ask any questions, I already have another order from this to make one like it with red and black next weekend!
