Coolest Princess Castle Cake

I made 2 cakes, 1 8″ square which I cut all four corners so the towers would fit, the other cake was a 6″ round. I covered both in butter cream and then both in fondant.

I used an impression mat on both to give the walls the look of brick work. I placed the round cake on top of the square cake. I then made four 6″ towers made out of pastillage and a one 4″ tower made the same. Again I used an impression mat. I then took 5 icecream cones and covered them in circles of fondant which I stuck on with edible glue.

I then placed cocktail sticks onto the top with small flag and iced the child’s age with royal icing. Using green royal icing I then iced a trail on each tower and added small fondant flowers to icing.
