I baked four 8 inch round cakes and a ball pan (I think it is a Wilton pan but not the one that you can bake 2 halves to put together).

I layered the round cakes with cardboard in between held up by wooden dowels for support and then put the ball pan on top. I shaved the sides in slightly to get the cup cake shape. Then iced the bottom with lavender buttercream and piped different colored striped.

The top of the Giant Cupcake Cake was white buttercream with different colored polka dots.
