Coolest Race Track Birthday Cake

I made this Race Track Birthday Cake for my son’s 4th birthday. He wanted a race car cake. I used 3 and half cake mixes for this cake. I made 2 9*13 cakes, put them together and used 8*8 to make the mountain and little garage.

I used Wilton’s buttercream icing recipe to make my icing. I was very happy with the turn out of this cake.

I then bought a few Disney Pixar Cars to top the cake.

  1. Myra, that was a nice birthday cake. Carolyn used to make them for you and Beth all the time. She used Wilton pans. Carolyn’s cakes turned out good too. If you can afford the price, keep making cakes. Just don’t eat too many. You know that CARBS do make people pleasing plump.

  2. Am a working mum time v effect is of the essence! Thanks for the inspiration – our son Benjamin is also keen on a racing car cake and I was at a bit of a loss where to start. have ordered a 40cm x 30cm plain sponge though, and will use your cake as decorating inspiration … Much appreciated!
