This Corset Cake was made for my niece's 19th birthday!
I baked a 11x15 cake and cut it to resemble a body figure! The top was cut to resemble breast/heart shape! I then measured a few inches in from both sides to create the inner part of the corset. The entire cake was crumb coated to to prevent crumbs for coming through then final iced with homemade butter cream!
The breast part was iced with a spatula with chocolate butter cream to resemble skin color. The corset was created using tip #21 and moving in circular motions. The middle of the corset was outlined with tip #5 and then 'scribbled' to create the final look! The bottom was created similar to the top with tip #21 in a circular motion! A shell border was done along the bottom again with tip #21!
I made this Corset Birthday Cake for a friend of a friend's surprise 30th birthday. She loves to wear corsets and mostly black or purple, so that was the inspiration.
I used a slab cake pan and also divided some mixture between two bowls for boobs. I cut and placed cake pieces and "glued" it all in place with chocolate ganache.
The icing is all fondant. One thin layer of skin coloured fondant, then a purple layer cut to shape followed by the trimmings (which were done in the same purple, then painted black). Lastly covered in glitter and black lace piped on. Colours in real life were a lot brighter than in photo.
I made this Corset Birthday Cake Idea for a friend's son's 21st birthday. I had a Wilton Ball Cake, which I cooked as the boobies. The trimmings I made the bottom bit underneath. Buttercream was spread all over it.
I then covered it all by flesh coloured fondant, followed by the red fondant. Trimmed it off, and then popped the lacing around the top. The rose was easy by just rolling a strip of fondant icing and bending it back.
The reason it was shiny as I was told my by mum that by putting a bit of shortening in it gives a gloss.
